In recent weeks Steve Jobs (the CEO for Apple) announced that his company was introducing a new form of mobile advertising that would destroy all other forms of existing mobile advertising because of the new added features of their service. He claims that their new mobile ad service called iAds will allow users to interact with the ads and will allow advertising firms to create much more complex and interesting adds that will be appealing to custommers. I want to wait and see if what CEO Steve Jobs says will hold to be true. But given apple's success in all of their business ventures I am inclined to believe they will reach their target. What do you think will happen?

Does EVERY website NEED an interactive community?
I believe that it would be ridiculous to say that every website needs to have an interactive community in order to be successful. There are plenty of websites out there that are extremely successful without having an interactive community. For example take a look at www.as.com or www.marca.com two soccer websites where there is no interactive community and they are some of the largest soccer websites in Spain. It basically depends on the type of website cause websites like facebook or hi5 could not survive without an interactive community.

Facebook, facing criticism, ramps up privacy options
I for one believe that online social networks are dangerous. Sites like facebook, twitter, hi5, etc.. put your life out there for everyone to see and sometimes you don't even know how or might not even be able to control what can be seen by everyone online. I've had problems in the past where someone posts something about my personal life on facebook and people like my parents or co-workers end up finding out about it. Luckily no major problem has resulted from this, but the possibility of severe problems resulting from poor control over what you put out there exists. Hopefully efforts like the one mentioned on the following link will help solve this issue. Do you believe facebook is on the right path to solve this problem??

E-commerce has revolutionized business
E-commerce has revolutionized the way people buy and sell merchandise. In the past you literally had to drive yourself down to the nearest store or mall and search for the product you desired. Now due to e-commerce, the whole shopping experience has been simplified. You no longer have to drive around hoping to find what you are looking for. Now you just have to log on to the internet and search for whatever it is you desire and have it shipped to your home. It has also created the possibility for people like you and me who are trying to start a business to reach a larger target. For example look at this website that facilitates access to places where hand bags and accessories from movie stars are sold.
